The land on the east side
East Round Rock is suburban with seams of leftover acreage between subdivisions: a ten acre remnant behind a 1990s neighborhood, a drainage tract, a lot that was platted and never built. It is about fourteen miles from Manor up 130 and the ground is the same Williamson County blackland as Hutto, with mesquite in the corners and hackberry along the drainages.
Because it is suburban, most of the work is lot work: close to neighbors, HOA rules, drainage easements, a utility pedestal at the corner. We run a skid steer mulcher here more than a big carrier and we spend time flagging.
