Fence Line and Right of Way Clearing in Manor, TX

If you cannot see the pins, we cut a corridor along the fence and stop at the line.

Cleared strip along a chain link fence line, oaks kept and brush gone

Cannot see the line

A fence on this side of the county disappears in about five years if nobody walks it. Mesquite seeds in along the wire where the mower cannot reach, yaupon fills in under it, and greenbrier ties the whole thing to the posts. Then you go to sell, or a neighbor's cattle turn up in your pasture, and nobody can find the fence.

We cut a corridor along it, mulch what we cut, and leave the wire standing where it still stands.

Fence, ROW, or easement

Private fence

Your line or a shared line. We clear your side to the wire; the neighbor's side is a conversation.

Right of way

County road or utility ROW that crosses your tract. Rules on what can be cleared and by whom vary; we clear the private land side.

Utility easement

Power or pipeline easement under your ownership. We clear inside it to the easement terms and stay away from the hardware.

How a fence corridor goes

  1. Survey or pins

You have a surveyor show the corners, or the existing fence is the line.

  2. Neighbor courtesy

A text before we show up. We can send it if you want.

  3. Corridor pass

Mulcher runs the line, hand work where brush is in the wire.

  4. Walk it

You can see every post. Bad wire and leaning posts get flagged for the fence crew.

Gumbo along the fence

Fence rows stay wet longest because nobody drives them. We run the corridor after the rest of the tract has dried out, since a rutted fence row is one you cannot drive for a year.

Fence line questions

How wide a corridor do you cut?

Wide enough to walk, work, and drive a side by side along the fence, usually eight to twelve feet on the private side. Wider on request. We do not cut past the pins.

Can you find the property line?

No, and neither can any clearing crew. A surveyor finds the line. We clear to the pins or the existing fence once someone has shown us where they are.

Do I need to tell my neighbor?

Legally that depends on where the fence sits. Practically, yes. A text before the machine shows up saves a lot of trouble, and if the fence is shared they may split the cost.

Do you clear utility right of way?

On private land under a utility easement, yes, within the easement's rules. We are not the utility and we do not touch their poles, guys, or equipment.

What about greenbrier in the wire?

It mulches with everything else. Where it has grown through the wire we cut it back by hand so the fence is not pulled down with it.
